Close to 6 months, that’s how long UK-based organisation
Vitriolic ceased all operations. Upon yesterday evening! They re-launched themselves with a partial new management and two brand new teams! One of those teams is CS:S. But it isn’t a team from where you expect one from, atleast not over here in Europe. The team consist some of the finest players in the North American scene. They’ve picked up CEVO-p competitors
stormaKt as their new CS:S team.
Vitriolic – Bitter Hate for the Enemy!
stormaKt has been playing several exhibition matches against some of the top European teams, to get their faces known. “A big welcome to the stormaKt guys first of all”, said Vitriolic’s General Manager
Bret Weber, “it's great to have such a great bunch of players under our wing at Vitriolic. Look forward to attending LANs with you very soon guys and the best of luck playing under the Vitriolic name!” Vitriolic are not only bringing these Americans in for their skill, but also to make a statement. They would like to contribute to the corporation between the American and the European scene. “We're certain this move will cause a stir between EU / US CSS scenes and that's what we want, more involvement between the two. Hopefully this is one step towards that goal” is what
Roger Barrades, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vitriolic, had to say about their move.
The Team Captain,
shaffeR, is also known for his time he was drafted into the CGS with Chicago Chimera. The team will not only attend all the LAN Events in the United States, but also all the bigger events in Europe, such as upcoming i38!
The Vitriolic.CSS now looks like the following:
Lloyd "shaffeR" Shaffer (c)
Jon "hauNt" Wilson
Trey "tck" Martin
Alex "Prec1sioN" Becklo
Brandon "naught" Hull
Statement from Lloyd Shaffer, Team Captain:
“I would start by saying I think this is a huge step in bringing the gap between USA and European CSS competitions together. This is the first time a European based organization has picked up and sponsored an American team. I can't explain how excited we are to be putting the Vitriolic name on the map. We will be competing in all US LANs as well as the upcoming i38 in the UK. We will also be continuing our run for a CEVO-p and ESEA-i championship online. I would like to send a big thanks to everyone who has helped in the transition of this somewhat long and detailed process. Everyone from the Cadred forums as well as the guys from Reason gaming for putting on exhibitions with us. We look forward to competing at the top level on both US and European soil.”

messiosoftw - It's the earliest LAN we can sort out and be eligible to play in, a players passport would have to be rushed if we were looking for LAN events earlier than that. Believe me, we did try and organise The Experience & i37 as they're close together. But it wasn't viable :)
