This is the first of many brief statements concerning the end of CG Season 1 so as to keep everyone up to date.
CGa Ladder End
Previously, 5 teams would have been promoted from CGa to CGm. However, due to teams folding, an additional 9 slots were available for next season‘s CGm. We have decide to award all of those slots to CGa teams. Meaning the top 14 ranked teams in the ladder are promoted and will be able to participate in next season‘s CGm. We’d like to thank all participating teams and congratulate all those that have been promoted – you’ve earned it!
CGi/CGm Nearly Done!
With regards to the current CGi and CGm season, teams have been given an additional one week extension to finish open games.
ELO CGa Ladder Nearly Ready!
Asterix, the website‘s founder and developer, has been working hard on installing an ELO system onto the ladders. We‘re really happy to announce that it should be up in the next day or two. As soon as ELO is implemented , we will reset the CGa ladder and teams will be able to start battling out for next season’s CGm slots straight away.
CGo, play it!
In the meantime, we encourage teams to play the CGo (Open ladder) on the CG website. The Open ladder is not linked to the CG league system but works just like the CGa ladder. It’s good practice and good fun, and in time we’re looking to reward top CGo team’s with prizes and/or some nice perks.
To start playing CGo, simply head on over to CyberGamer and play as normal! You can find CGo through Games-> Call of Duty -> CGo Call of Duty 4 Ladder or here http://bit.ly/uvBhw7. Need help figuring out CyberGamer? Check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=joy71wjrbN8.
Official news on the following topics will be released as soon as possible: new CG season start/end dates, CGi promotions and the new season format. A thanks again to all of this season‘s participating CGa teams, without your help we wouldn‘t be able to continuously improve the CG system; enjoy your reward!

They had no other choice seeing as (like they said) 9 teams in CGm folded last season.

top 5 were guaranteed promotion anyway as that is what was set up when the ladder first opened.
If you read it properly it states that with 9 other teams folding they needed to fill the spaces that were left. therefore it only makes sense that they add the 9 teams below the top 5 of CGa.

Time will tell.
Good stuff VN! :)
Just have to close all disputes as soon as possible as a few teams may go up/down depending on the outcome of the disputes
If KaosTV and QuadV had 1 night a week for example where they streamed a bunch of CGa games (different teams though, not the same ones EVERY time) - it would really encourage people to play and also strat together as a team in order to not look like douches on the stream!
