After all the speculation and talk about the channels invite mIRC channels. Vita Nova have taken it on themselves to create 2 brand new channels under new management. The channels from now on shall be #cod.invite and #cod.preinvite.
The new channels will have the same application process which will be hosted on the tek9 forums under the headings "preinvite and invite applications." Go to "forums > COD series > cod.preinvite apply." Applications format, rules for teams, rules for managers and rules for admins will be updated under the specific forum headings.
In the new channels, we will have the same admin team as the previous channels, bar a few. The channels will also have a bot, so accepted auths will be voiced in the channel they are added to. People who are not accepted in either of the channels will be banned (for a few minutes) by the bot.
The admin team for the channels will be:

The overseer/channel management will not take part in the voting process, he is only there to make sure the channels are running smoothly and making sure admins are active. All admins will have the same rights / power and if anyone has any queries you can message them directly. A password will be added to the channels soon enough, we need everyone to join them so they start filling up.
Teams who are attending SEC LAN will gain access to the preinvite channel.

I would like to take this chance to thank mTw|creepy, dignitas/sui and oC'simon for all their effort put in in the previous channels. For everyone this is a new start for these channels and a new start for the community, so let's make this happen.
People are free to join all channels and we will continue running as we do now. No hard feelings at all!

We added as many as we could find so message the admins if they are missing
Case in point: If all teams are to remain in cod4.invite whilst also joining cod.invite Sui has no need to be in the new channel.
The admin crew is the same, they are all brilliant admins and im glad nobody got left behind. now its up to the community to decide which channels they want, its all fine for me.
i was in invite for 6 months before i even became a standard admin. Its part of my staff job at dignitas and helps me keep track of whats going on in the scene.

gl, great admin team, lets make it work. Still not too sure on the difference between both chans/advantages of having 2 chans seeing as sui will keep on running cod4.invite etc

Myself I was only +m, even if I agreed there would be many more obstacles (including an inactive Q auth which was idle for 6 months) which would have to be taken away before a new +n of Q could be assigned. Therefore they made a new channel which is not bad at all, its being adminned by good admins, ran by people who are respected in the community and in the best case scenario cod4 will now have 2 active and highskilled warchannels.

no swedish admin....or finnish....but 4 from the uk (Ireland included in my counting)....

We are deciding between 3 Swedish admins.
Wizinium cannot vote and has no extra power or anything. His role is manage the admins, he's the guy sorting any problems out and keeping admins active etc.

what about rules on paying for LAN? will it still grant you "free" access to the preinvite channel or?
