With the Vita Nova receiving lots of criticism as of late, some of the organisation's members have started putting some of their projects into motion. Whether that happened in part due to the pressure from the community to show results, is not quite known, but the result is there nonetheless.
As some of you might remember, Will "
wizinium" Hunter, former member of TEK9 and one of the first members of the Vita Nova, had been head of some Multiplay draft channels in the past and as they were quite the success, he had thought about hosting them under Vita Nova some time after as well.
They were once more somewhat successful, but due to the man himself seemingly stepping down from Call of Duty 4 related things, the draft series died out quickly and the community was left in the cold on this matter. Luckily, Richard "
ruinr" Martin has looked back at the idea from Will Hunter and will be looking to take over the torch and host another Vita Nova Draft in July.
The first of hopefully many upcoming Vita Nova Drafts will be organized on July 3rd, from 20h00 CEST onwards. All players who want to participate have to join the #Vita-Nova.drafts channel before 19h45 CEST and only the first forty players will receive an invite into the Vita Nova Draft, as there isn't room for more, right now.
All participants will then be randomly divided up in eight teams of five and they will then have a small one night tournament until the Grand Final is due. In that Grand Final, both teams will be given the exclusive rights of being the very first teams to play the in progress mp_hideout beta in a competitive environment and be the first to test the map's qualities and perhaps remaining flaws.
So for all those who want to participate, be sure to mark July 3rd, 2011 in your calendars and hope you are amongst the first forty people on the #Vita-Nova.drafts IRC Channel.

"So a couple of weeks back I was reminded of the TEK9 Drafts, I only had the oppurtunity to play 2, but they were fun, extremely competitive and brought the community together, Vita Nova are proud to announce the first, in what will hopefully be a series of drafts. Aswell as having the honour of winning a draft, those 10 lucky people who make it to the final will have the chance to play mp_hideout beta! Thanks to Immortal Servers for making this possible."

they are fun, but VN could use admins who are actually proper participants to the community. Nobody actually likes him, he will be the downfall of the entire game if allowed to act as a community representative.

All the old school names of CoD4 have quit, new people just cheat their face off as codehook programmers are getting better as there are no updates on pb which actually stop cheats. This game will never be at IEM or anything remotely similar. There isn't the financial backing or the backing of a community that will support a game without wanting an organisation wanting to do something for them.

Now you always try boasting how good you are when you come on vent, where your not even welcome. As 3/4 people who are there regularly don't even like you. You just look for attention.
