Today, we are very happy to announce the project
Vita-Nova has found a home. I'm sure you have read about Vita Nova in the blog section of our website and it has been made a reality. The project will be supported by Heaven Media and will be put into action at Enemydown.
The Call of Duty 4 scene has been on a resurge after the failing of previous events and the disappointment of Modern Warfare 2. This can be seen in the amount of signups for the Crossfire Challenge in Enschede, as well as mapping contests, various cups being host on Esports Heaven and the return of Multiplay's COD4 pickups.
The community needed one more thing and that was a competitive league and with Heaven Media taking on Vita Nova, this will be very promising for the Call of Duty 4 community. The league will only feature preinvite and invite teams in the first season, after which a public league will be opened.
Enemydown COD4 will be going through a complete revamp and the new Head Admins of Enemydown COD4 are as follows:

Adam
"vanner" Vanner

Will
"wizinium" Hunter

Geir
"gizzor" Wivelstad

Erik
"Froster" van den Biggelaar

Bo
"Kleineman" Kleinhesselink
We will be looking for admins to expand Enemydown even further and a separate post will allow people to apply for positions within Enemydown COD4.
The channel for Enemydown COD4 will be #enemydown.cod4 . The community will be updated with every step of the way through TEK9 and Cadred.
Statement from ED COD4 Head Admin, Will "wizinium" Hunter: "I am very happy that we are able to find a home for our project via a partnership with Heaven Media. After the disaster at the last UK LAN, it really was the turning point for me and the community. I remember sitting down with vanner and talking about how we can reignite the community and it's great that one of our ideas has been put into reality. The community has been calling out for a league, as Clanbase has been declining every week. With the correct admins in place along with a bullet proof rule set, we want Enemydown COD4 to be the pinnacle of competition within the scene. Professionalism is key throughout the leagues and we will work hard and plan ahead to make sure it shines down the rest of the community. After vanner’s blog we were overwhelmed with support, so thanks to everyone and we will be planning ahead to make this league a success. Make sure you are supporting us by joining the irc channel #enemydown.cod4 at Quakenet.
Statement from Heaven Media's, Adam Godfrey: "We have been very impressed with the community support for COD4 recently and in their search for a new home we are pleased that ED was the best choice. As Heaven Media slowly develop plans to drive ED forward it is a pleasure to be working with such a dedicated team of admins."
Statement from ED COD4 Head Admin, Adam "vanner" Vanner: "I can only echo what Wiz above me has said. This is the start of something special and I'm delighted with the way things have been going as of late. We must not sit on our laurels and instead continue the hard work so that we can realise the potential of this community."

If this is successful the league can accomodate other games and leave clanbase counting pennies on a jar
Several leagues, best 2 or 3 teams advance 1 league up :D
might take some time to set up the leagues though. But would be epic if it worked :D
As if the whole "pre.invite" situation wasn't annoying enough as it is, this could've been a PERFECT opportunity to throw an open and clean league into the mix, which finally allows fringe teams the chance to compete against the best and prove their credentials.
Still, props for the hard work!
We also identified the need to start small and build on things each season. We've already planned a lot of new things for season 2 but they aren't things that are going to help the cause if we put them straight in now. We need a season to run through everything and iron out the mistakes in the setup.
This is a long term thing and without being a total gimp. "Rome wasn't built in a day!"

The normal cod4 league will be well organised and run, I will make sure of it. Lookat Clanbase the reason it fails is because it isnt organised or well run. I have learnt of their mistakes and it will not happen in ED.
just to get them involved ect. (just an idea)

Have these issues been resolved then?

If I totally misunderstood the point, just get rid of my points then :P
By starting small we can iron out a lot of the bugs and problems that come on our way. It will be much easier to fix these issues on a smaller scale rather than with 120+ active teams.
There will be enough to do for the teams who are not in invite/preinvite.
if i can contribute anything let me know
naow gnosh me off
Great to see they picked up Vita Nova.
If im in a pre-invite team at the time I sure as hell would like to participate :D
Most likely am not though.
Gratz Vita Nova crew and gl bois!

We can still have sponsored leagues eg "Enemydown Intel Vita Nova" or something.
