Russian powerhouse
Virtus.Pro announced some core changes in its Counter-Strike team as the three players from Ukraine were removed to make room for three Russian ones, a decision that turns the team back to 100% Russian.
Team manager and long time player for Virtus.Pro back in the good old days, Konstantin "groove" Pikiner explains that Russian and Ukrainian styles didn't match, what consequently lead to several ups and downs. It will be given a three months trial period to the new lineup, if they don't succeed, changes may happen again.
Konstantin takes the opportunity to deny any rumours that these changes were a consequence of bad results or performances, thanking everyone for the wonderful time spent together. Recently, the team was able to catch the silver medal at Rekrut.ru tournament, losing to mTw in the final, and a gold medal at ICC by defeating Team Alternate.
This way,
Ioan "Edward" Sukhariev,
Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko and
Mykhailo "Kane" are now free agents and looking for new teams. One of the possibilities is Ukraine's Amazing Gaming who are on the market. To fill in the shoes of these three, Virtus.Pro contracted Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov, who's coming from A-Gaming,
Ivan "Xenitron" Totskiy and
Denis "diNGo" Kolomenskiy.
Virtus.Pro will face, at least, 2009's first trimester with the following lineup:
Denis "diNGo" Kolomenskiy
Dmitri "hooch" Bogdanov
Alexey "LeX" Kolesnikov
Roman "ROMJKE" Makarov
Ivan "Xenitron" Totskiy
