Ultimate Gaming Championship Provides TUP

The Ultimate Gaming Championship, the birth child of professional gamer Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone, has now announced that with some added effort they have been able to secure additional computers to provide for a non-Italian crowd that might be interested in attending the event.

This is good news for all European teams who wanted to attend the event but felt hindered by the Call of Duty 4 tournament being announced as a BYOC only. However, the organisation behind the UGC felt that they wanted to give the COD4 tournament the possibility to attract some big European teams and have now set aside enough computers for eight foreign teams to register.

The system will work with an invite system, as only eight teams in total could enjoy the benefits of having a reserved computer on-site. Therefore, all teams interested in attending need to send an e-mail at info[at]theugc[dot]com with all their relevant information (team name, full player list and nationalities, etc...), justifying why they should be picked very briefly.

With just over one month to go before the start of the event from March 31st until April 3rd, the organisation has also sent out information about the hotels and shuttle service from the nearby airport. As the event's location is a bit remote, a shuttle service can be booked from the different airports in the vicinity (Venezia, Milano, Treviso and Verona) for the price of €35 a person, a trip (so one-way). Hotels in the village of the event have already been reserved and should not cost you too much, as they also include breakfast and room service.

Information:

Booking TUP (non-Italy only): e-mail at info[at]theugc[dot]com with all information
Event date: March 31st until April 3rd
Ticket Price: €40 a person
Book Shuttle Service: e-mail at travel[at]theugc[dot]com with flight number, date and time of arrival
Shuttle Service Price: €35 a person a trip (one-way trips)
Hotels available: Hotel Solemare and Hotel Vela are reserved for UGC participants for not too expensive prices

ButtonBashers will ask for a slot. It's right after my exams and it's a nice warmup (especially in Italy ;-) ) for the larger events!
