Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone has announced the first Ultimate Gaming Championship event. This LAN is scheduled to take place at the GeTur Villaggi in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy between the 31st of March and the 3rd of April.
The event will be open to approximately 1,000 gamers across several different titles. A total of $30,000 in prize money will be awarded in a number of tournament titles. In addition, there will be a number of community run tournaments as part of the BYOC event.
Currently, the event has announced three PC gaming titles: Quake Live, Call of Duty 4 and Starcraft II. The Call of Duty 4 event is set to feature a minimum prizepot of $5,000 (approximately 3,667 euro), although it will require a minimum of 32 teams. Quake Live and Starcraft II in turn will feature $7,000 in cash prizes.

- 32 teams: $5000 GUARANTEED
could be sick lan but needs TUP
Thanks for the news post.
We are trying to get even more PCs so we can host the cod4 with our own PCs rather than BYOC - - making it easier for the international community to attend. I will suggest you to keep checking our website and use our forum or emails for any questions.
We will send out an update if we manage to get the PCs for make this happen, if not, it will stay in the BYOC.
Take care,
UGC - Staff
Dunno how to look at the fact that cod4 gets such a prize purse, it's almost like it's being put on the same level as ql & sc2..
Anyways, it's going to be amazing. Hopefully there'll be a stream going, at least for ql & sc2.
