The madness is over in North America

The madness that started in March in the North American CEVO league is now over. The tournament that preceded the upcoming fifth season of Call of Duty 4 for CEVO, entitled the Zowie March Madness Tournament, finally ended on Monday as United States Loaded and United States Pure E-Sports faced off in the finals.

After over sixty teams signed up and competed against each other in this tournament that promised over $1,500 in prizes and invitations to the professional placement tournament for season five, it all came down to two of the more successful teams in the North American scene.

After being forced into the lower bracket by Nexus Gaming in round nine, Loaded managed to work their way back into the finals by defeating teams such as Finesse Gaming, Radium, and Carnal Gaming.  Wanting to continue working off the momentum they gained in their thirteen to zero victory over Carnal Gaming, Loaded put forth their focus and efforts in trying to defeat Pure E-Sports in the grand finals of the tournament.  However, after managing to defeat all of their opponents and go undefeated in the tournament, there was no doubt that Pure would be a tough team to beat, but Keith “kZu” Hullenaar and the rest of Loaded were up for the challenge.

The first map played was mp_crash, in which Loaded needed to win in order to force Pure into playing a second map and keep their hopes of winning the tournament alive. However, after a fierce fight between both teams, Pure managed to come up ahead with a close thirteen to eleven victory over Loaded.

While Loaded was the more favored team, it appears that their skill and support was no match for Chris "-47-!" Maglio, and his Pure crew. So after what seemed to be a never-ending tournament, Pure is able to grab their new hardware and gear from Zowie Gear and now must begin to prepare for the upcoming CEVO-Professional season in which they will most likely face off against Loaded again at some point.

Pure, Loaded, and Nexus don't have to play in the Placement tourney.

They are an automatic in for the CEVO-P.

hopefully loaded or pure, or even vVv with cubed can get some international lan sponsorship and represent NA abroad. Maybe with some future NA lans we can entice the euros to come over and see how they do again some NA teams that do not have the name LOADED/PANDEMIC/EG.

New Era vs Dignitas? yes pl0x
