Let's not make this a day of in-your-face Christianity and religious overbearing on one another. Let bygones be bygones. Rather, let's focus on what the modern day interpretation of Christmas represents. And no, I'm not talking about your next iPhone or Xbox 360 under the tree. Christmas is a day of universal thanking and remembering the good times of the year that passed us.
As you all awake after a good night's rest after your Christmas Eve parties, the real day of Christmas is upon us and we know of what to think, of whom to cherish and of where to go. Today is not a day that should carry presents and blatant Western capitalism (although we all like to reap the benefits of that) at its core, but rather a day where you look around you and think of those who made this year worthwhile, who helped you through tough times and who was there when you were at your lowest.
I'm sure nearly all of you will have had such moments (we're forever alone anyways, right?) this last year and Christmas brings the perfect opportunity to thank these people. How you go about doing that is fully up to you. Either you give presents, you write a heartfelt letter or e-mail, you simply sit around a table and enjoy the festivities. Everyone has a different definition of coziness, after all.
Today is also a day where TEK9, the website, would like to extend its gratitude and warmest of wishes to TEK9, the community. Without all of you, ultimately, there'd be no competitive Call of Duty 4 scene, there would be no Outpost on Fire, no Adroits Masters, no MSI Grunex and there'd be no family feeling.
As the Editor-in-Chief, I'm sure that I speak for all the entire TEK9 and Heaven Media crew when we say thank you for a year of excitement and constant proof that we are a community worth investing in. Enjoy your afternoon and evening, visit great parties or stay at home with family, friends and loved ones.
Thank you all (except trollers, spammers of course :p),
Bob "Bcrbo" Van de Voorde
TEK9 Editor-in-Chief
It’s been a fun year with many an up and many a down and it’s been a privilege to share these moments with you. We’ve got a lot coming up in the following year including several huge LAN events spread across Europe alongside a rumoured Antwerp eSports Festival sometime during the late summer LAN season, it’s going to be a great year so stay tuned.
A big thank you once again to the admin staff and everyone who’s contributed to the site over the past year it’s been an interesting experience working with our new recruits and let’s work to make 2012 our best yet.
Merry Christmas TEK9 and a happy New Year!

Big Year for the LAN scene too, including the Coverage of KaosTV and the return of QuadV( but, in all honesty, i see no point in having 2 companies at this point, why dont they fusion together?`:S), There was/is atleast one stream from both of these up per week. In 2010 it was something big if we got Lan Coverage via stream :::::::DDDD
merry christmas :)
