Team WinFakt! Announce CGZ LAN

As some of you may already know, this October will see a new addition to the LAN calendar. Hosted in Newcastle, UK, the CGZ LAN will see the best CoD4 teams from around europe battle it out for a slice of the impressive prize pot.

The event is the brainchild of Sam "Mint" Lockton, who is organising it with Michael "Stokoe" Stokoe. Sam, who works for Team WinFakt!, has already secured sponsorship deals with Chimera Systems as well as Rustlers. The LAN is intended for a minimum of 16 teams, although the prize pot triggers start at 12. This leads us to believe the event will go ahead with only 12 teams.

However, in a period of relative lull in the LAN calendar right after the summer events we anticipate good attendance. Many teams will be keen to ride the waves of their summer glory, while others might seek another chance to reclaim their tattered reputations.

The entry fee is the now standard €350. For your money you will get 2 days of intense LAN action, from the 22nd - 23rd October 2011. The event is fully TUP, although the full specifications of the machines have yet to be released. Prize pot triggers have been released, although these are subject to change if more teams than anticipated attend the event. Hardware prizes provided by Chimer Systems are also up for grabs, although what these may be has yet to be announced:
