| Team Infused at the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 last weekend. |
After a dissapointing 25-32 place finish at the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 in Enschede, the Netherlands last weekend, Team Infused has parted ways with their Call of Duty 4 team with immediate effect. The British team had brought in Patrick
"puNi" Stemmler to replace George
"RAIVZ" Marsh leading up to the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7, but failed to make it out of the groupstages after being placed in a group together with eventual finalists Reason Gaming and fnatic.
Despite their promising looking lineup, a fourth place finish in their group, having lost to GameLimited in a battle for third place, had made the Infused management decide to look for other alternatives, stating they "persue a roster within the Call of Duty 4 European Top 10".
When asked about their future plans with regards to Call of Duty 4, Joshua "twrs" Towers replied that "Team Infused will soon be returning to Call of Duty 4 to compete at upcoming events, all of which we look to be present at with a potential Top 10 European roster. More announced soon!"

Think the quote about getting a (potential) top10 eu site is a bit of a joke though, which team currently in the 'top 10' would you be able to support better then their current orgs? And which 'upcoming' top10 eu team is there, better then your previous lineup?
Got tons more to say but cba typing it out :)
Gl to the team, love you all loads, sick meeting u again. <3
Gl to infused as well as an org, love BIG JT <333

:D <3 u ben
Who would want to join infused? Lose one fucking game at lan n you will get removed! Waste of time n imo has turned out to be a very poor and tbh shit organisation. I'm sure when everything is well, its a great place to be but seriously if they have removed that squad because of lan, its on that one game n i cba. Especially as the team is looking to strengthen by changing the current team..
Infused, sort yourselves out imo...

I explained to Rob & Darren the reasons behind it, they know full well why this choice was made and to an extent they agreed with it. They know the detail of why this decision was made, so I'm sure if you give them a message on Xfire they can explain to you, but please, and this goes for 95% of the people who have posted here, do not make assumptions, ofcourse we didn't want to do this, I'm friends with all the team, but eSports is competition both ingame and as a business, and we need to keep ahead of our main rivals, or atleast on par.
Edit: You made me post, damn you.

but enlighten me on how you know so much regarding the whole ordeal? or is it purely your attempt at trolling to get a petty rise from people?
They wanted a top 8 placing at CIC.. After the seedings online and drawing pwr/speedlink and losing we knew it would be unrealistic.. this wasn't helped by the fact we had reason and fnatic in the group stages at lan.. it's understandable that they may not be willing to fully support us but i guess shit happens.
It doesn't really matter now anyway.. whats done has been done and we will be happy to prove them wrong :)

much love x
oh n you might want to realise that decisions like these are always going to receive posts like the one above. Surely anyone who under takes a management job like josh, realises that its going to happen on quite a regular occasion in the comments section of their thread.. So please stop flaming me for what I said, I wasn't flaming twrs specifically, I was giving my opinion on infused as an organisation! Anyway, who gives a fuck about what I say on a tek-9 forum? lol.. But what is the whole purpose on being able to comment on a news post? TO GIVE YOUR OWN FUCKING OPINIONS ON THE NEWS THREAD ITSELF.. i mean the intellect of half the cod scene baffles me it really does! lolz

and while I'm all for jokes about the dribbling mess that is the mtw cod4 team, if you expect me to find it amusing you'll have to do a lot better than that.
Personally I just find it a bit cringe when so many members of the community say stuff like "n fucking good luck to you lads.. Infused why dont you msg mtw", as if they're some of martyr case and "US BOIS FROM DA COMMUNITAY HAS YOUR BACKS BRUVS". They were in a gaming 'organisation', they performed below the standards that the org wanted to see from them, I don't think they did worse than could be expected of them at any stage considering their group etc but that is the only fault I can see with the management, why pick up a team that subsequently performs exactly as expected.
And THAT is vanq's fault, not the majority of the management team that was involved in their removal.

Leo there's disagreeing with someone and then referring to me as an "angry member of the community" lol.. ur not an angry member of the community after your reply? nice.. just hypocritical tbqh.. especially reading your post on the previous page..
To everyone else...
From a business and financial point of view, infused cant waste that time waiting to see if Darren's team can pick up or not, infused already had a solid year of barely any results from PC teams. We can't keep doing that & expect cash flow to continue.
Tbh no team infused picks up right now will get full support, that has to be earned.
Whenever infused played teams like fnatic/ Reason/dig I never thought ...' Yeah this'll be a good close match' ... I just thought they would deffinetly lose cuz the infused current team are just not top 10 material
I 100% agree with twrs decision as I dont see why any org would wanna splash out a load of cash to send a mid seed team at BEST out to LAN events.
I'm sure they want a team that can be top 10 and even striving for that #1 spot...not a team that find it kinda hard getting out of Group stages every event.
Well thats my opinion anyway so gl and hf
