SteelSeries present €10,000 CoD4 LAN

Just six days after the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7, today we are happy to report that more exciting news has just been released.

Between the 30th of April and the 2nd of May, SteelSeries, the leading manufacturer of professional gaming gear, will be organising a €10,000 Call of Duty 4 LAN event in cooperation with Vita Nova. The tournament, dubbed the SteelSeries eSport Challenge (SEC), will be taking place at the Cop3nhag3nRobot venue in the city centre of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

The SteelSeries eSport Challenge will have an entrance fee of €350 and uses a similar format as CIC7, with the top 2 teams of each group (8 in total) advancing to a 16 team single elimination best-of-three playoff. The tournament will make use of 40 high end gaming pc's and will be run by the Vita Nova admin crew.

The signups for the €10,000 tournament will open upcoming Wednesday, the 17th of March. More information about accomodation can be found on the tournament website, www.esportchallenge.com.

The prizemoney will be paid out at the LAN event itself. The organisers do note that in case less than 32 teams participate, the organisation reserves the right to change the prizemoney accordingly.

The TEK9 crew will of course be present at the event to bring you the ins and outs when the tournament goes live. In addition, we will be releasing a guide to the SteelSeries eSport Challenge in the coming weeks, which will be similar to the Crossfire Challenge guide.
