Sebastian "spart1e" Siira has beatan Pierre-Emeric "l1nkje" Portier to take home the top prize at the rAge 2009 Dreamhack quailifier in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Swede was the clear favourite going into the event and he saw off both the local talent and his fnatic teammate to claim the top prize at the Coca-Cola Arena.
Veteran South African Quaker Stephen "Ph4ntom" Cloete was the highest placing local player in third after defeating rival South African Travis "Shase" Weedon in two maps. "Ph4ntom" was awarded an invite and travel expenses to the upcoming QuakeLive tournament at Dreamhack in Sweden after the European fnatic players sportingly declined the prize. The pair took home a wealth of hardware prizes as well though and they will be happy with their efforts ahead of the IEM Dubai tournament.
