The qualifier was held during eGamez Expo as a three day event with two days of mini tournaments and the final day included the main event with 128 participants. A FIWC first timer
Jason Mac, 20, managed to kick enough goals to win the event.
Jason started off with a convincing result 7 to 1 and kept that level of gaming all the way to the overall final. There he met another FIWC first timer
Yash Mehta, 14, who gave Jason quite a fight. The guys weren't able to out play their opponents during the regular time and ended up with a 3-3 draw, which meant extra time. Jason really got himself going and shot three goals and got titled as the winner of the FIWC Australia qualifier.
The FIWC Grand Final will include 32 players from around the world and the eventual winner will walk away with $20,000, a brand new Kia Soul and a trip to FIFA World Player Gala. The date is yet to be determined but rumours are floating towards May and the States.
