What's this? Two events happening in the WZZRD Café in Enschede, The Netherlands on the same date? Unfortunately no, but due to the unfortunate collapse of TheLastResort's organisation, the very hyped Call of Duty 4 event that was planned for the opening weekend of July has undergone some changes.
None of the basic information has changed, as it will still hold a Call of Duty 4 tournament as well as Enemy Territory and the entrance fee remains unchanged. At the same time, the WZZRD Café in Enschede, The Netherlands will still be the place where it will all go down.
Call of Duty 4 will have two fundamental changes, though. The first being that the heavily criticized sixteen team limitation has been upgraded to twenty Call of Duty 4 teams that will play in a 4 by 5 Group Stage of which the TOP 2 advances. The second change is the fact that the tournament has stepped away from a Double Elimination Bo1 to a Single Elimination Bo3 during the Playoffs, as it will most likely reduce schedule delays and has been the preferred tournament format for 1,5 years.
Another bonus is the fact that KaoS_TV will be on-site to provide all of you with a live stream about the Call of Duty 4 and Enemy Territory tournaments. The trusted and familiar face of Matthijs "
A_Spec" Hoving will be there to test the maximum intake of decibels in the listeners whilst watching Call of Duty 4.
For those teams who are looking to be in The Netherlands from THursday onwards, the organiser has taken care of your boredom pre-emtively by arranging bootcamping possibilities for up to eight teams, of which four for Call of Duty 4 and four for Enemy Territory. The information and prices for the bootcamping is not yet written in stone and can still vary, should the conditions change, however, for now, this is an example of the pricing format:
Bootcamp Prices:
€150 for a team for 8 hours (€3.75 per player, per hour)
€80 for a team for 3 hours (€5.33 per player, per hour)
€35 for a team for 1 hour (€7.00 per player, per hour)
To distract people from all the serious gaming that will be happening for the entire weekend, the SAGE event is hoping to also host some on-the-side events with mainly 1v1 tournaments, including Quake Live and StarCraft II. Even a FIFA 11 tournament, on the consoles at the venue might be in the books, should there be enough interest from the community.

I understand that u have personal loss, but WHY the Enemy Territory tournament has the same prize purse when cod4 has +4 teams (+1400 euros) ????Even if you dont raise the cod4 prize purse, balance it, cuz its unfair with cod4 teams

Anyway, why do you want the ET people losing out if it doesn't affect your prize pot?

Any advice on accomodation?
this is what jetset made last year for Crossfire Intel Challenge 7; it's held in the same location, so the advice should be very similar
