Sapphire Movie Contest Stream

Today I would like to come forward and apologize for the current state of the streaming media we are using for the Sapphire Movie Contest.
After switching to our own integrated player a while back (we don't want to be dependent on third parties for all our movie hosting) we are currently experiencing problems with the speeds of the streams. Continuous buffering has made watching movies a nuisance and we are completely aware of this situation. We would like to apologize for this situation and explain more in detail what is going on.
Due to the increased traffic and amount of people watching the movies simultaneously, our servers and site are overloaded and unable to handle the capacity at which we need to stream. This is causing problems with the streaming, even for people with a good connections. Unfortunately, there are no clear cut solutions for this problem at hand as the complexity of the problem requires several smaller issues to be resolved. For this reason, we have also decided that we will continue to upload the new sets of movies regardless, because we cannot guarantee that these issues will be completely resolved in the next couple of days or even weeks.
We are however working hard on solving several of these issues to increase the speed of the stream for everyone. One major issue we can work on further tomorrow is attempting to increase the bandwidth via our provider and bump up the speeds on all fronts.
We would also like to clarify that switching to a different platform is NOT an option for us, and this not only for commercial reasons. (there is also the matter of time to upload, voting proces and plenty of other problems that arise when you go to a third party partner).
Again we would like to apologize for this unfortunate situation and would like to stress that this will not be repeated again in the future but for now we have to run with it.
Due to the problems we are having, we will allow the movies to be uploaded to third party streaming websites and viewed there, and you are welcome to link to the alternative streams of a movie in the movie page on the TEK9 website. Voting, however, can only be done on the TEK9 movie pages.
