SAGE Announced On-Site QL Tournament

After the cancellation of the Antwerp eSports Festival #3, Seanza's Amazing Gaming Event is looking to be the most glorious and most impacting event of the Call of Duty 4 Summer, with quite a few top teams in attendance and another purely community-driven event.

The man behind it all, Sean "Seanza" McDougall, has been working extremely hard to make sure the event runs smoothly and hopes to make it a mainstay event. Perhaps replacing the Crossfire Intel Challenge events of the olden days, as it's eerily quiet surrounding the 8th installment and Stuart "TosspoT" Saw's event.

However, next to all the Call of Duty 4 and Enemy Territory serousness that will keep everyone busy throughout the weekend, a recent poll had been issued and asked the community which game they'd prefer to play at the event, competitively, next to the official tournaments. Both StarCraft II and Quake Live were the choices, however, it became pretty clear who the winner was near the end.

Quake Live won the vote by nearly double the amount of votes than StarCraft II and therefore, Sean McDougall is urging all players who wish to partake in the tournament by sending the small fee of €10 to his PayPal account as well as some extra information to properly gauge where you should be seeded.

Signing-up for Quake Live @SAGE:

-Pay €10 to Seanza[at]live[dot]co[dot]uk
-Add the following information:

-Quake Live username
-Community you belong to (ET / COD4)
-Link to your user profile on your respective community websites (Crossfire / TEK9)
-State the team you are representing in the official tournament (if at all)
-Do you know Quake Live Premium Maps / Do you have Quake Live Premium?
-Rate yourself: 1 - 10 (1 = very bad / 10 = very good)

 

The idea behind the cup is to pit both communities against one another. So both Enemy Territory and Call of Duty 4 will have their separate Quake Live tournaments and the eventual winners will then face each other in a direct duel to determine which community is arguably the best in Quake Live.

So if you are interested in partaking in the Quake Live tournament at Seanza's Amazing Gaming Event from July 1st, 2011 until July 3rd, 2011, be sure to send all the correct information as soon as possible.
