The Dutch Call of Duty 2 team of the RG-Esports organisation have taken some initiative and wanted to create a cup for the still die-hard Call of Duty 2 community by offering some incentive to participate in the form of a small, but very interesting prize purse for the participating teams.
The goal of the RG-Esports COD2 Challenge is to show everyone that the Call of Duty 2 fans are still enthusiastic about their own game and their competitive scene, which this online Cup could definitely show. As it is a fully community-driven event, they came up to ask for all teams to hand over a small team sign-up fee of €35 a team, which gives you five players and a back-up to play with.
All the money made from these entrance fees will flow directly into the cup's prize purse and if the attendance goal of 16 participating and paid teams is met, then it will mean a total of €560 will be up for grabs for the TOP 3 finishing teams. Should 16 teams end up participating, the cup will have a Group Stage and a Double Elimination Bo3 Bracket that will last from the beginning of March until half April.

in case someone would deal with all those cheaters / open some good tournaments with comparable prizes to cod4 , world would be fine again :D
every team will get checked thoroughly and games will be monitored during the cup. 'random hungarian teams' won't participate anyway.
the cheater issue is so overrated, only cod4 players who have no clue about the current cod2 scene are spreading this shit. You'll find the most cheater in the lower skilled zone of cod2, 'topteams' rarely encounter cheaters.
just putting it out there
All i can say to those cod4 nerds is this: Go deal with ur own cheaters before u start laming the cod2 community.
When are u going to accept that there are still some ppl having fun playing cod2? What do u want.. all cod2 players to move to cod4 or what, plz, just stfu with those trolling cheaters comments.
btw stop flame this won't make you more popular x)
