ESWC have announced four high profile invites for the 2010 Grand Final in Disneyland, Paris.
In a move to boost the credibility of the new ESWC's summer finale the organisers have announced that the top four finishers from the 2008 Masters of Athens event will receive direct invites to this year's finals. IEM world champion Shane "rapha" Hendrixson is joined by Alexey "Cypher" Yanushevsky and Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski - ESWC champions themselves in 2008 and 2007 respectively - as well as Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira. This leaves Anton "Cooller" Singov as the only remaining ESWC winner not yet a confirmed participant.
All four have confirmed their attendance to the organising committee and "Spart1e" has also hinted that he is now unlikely to attend the upcoming Swedish qualifier - leaving Magnus "fox" Olsson as the clear favourite for the single qualifying spot. A number of other qualifiers have been scheduled although the organisers are expected to introduce more direct invites for QuakeLive if their search for national affiliates doesn't bring in the top stars.
