RAGE Gaming Swap Out, Pick Up pr0phecy

Although nothing official had been written about it yet, people have been quite aware that Holland's premier team, RAGE Gaming, had been looking for a new player, following Bart "bARTYEz" Gort's decision to step down from active play and focus more on his personal life and future.

At first, it seemed very likely that we would be seeing former Team-Dignitas star, Robin "robyYE" Swaters, make the move and fortify the Dutchmen. However, when the theory was put into practice, at the week-ago e-series KaoS COD4 LAN, it was very clear that the team was struggling to find the correct balance with two highly capable scopers in the line-up, who did not transition that well when either of them had to adopt the AK.

In hindsight, the team wanted to avoid difficult balancing tricks in the future by scrapping that plan all together and were looking for other talent in the Dutch scene. Following an interesting talk with Jelle "pr0phecy" Monen, it quickly became apparent that both parties were interested in working together. No time was wasted and the young Call of Duty talent will be wearing the RAGE Gaming shirt from now on.

The team has changed quite a bit in recent months and is fairly different from their Antwerp Esports Festival performance and has a mountain to climb again, incorporating their latest additions and trying to pursue a firm grasp over the BeNeLux scene, something everybody expects them to. What TheLastResort will do, following this decision, is not quite clear yet, but we should them see bounce back and announce a new fifth soon.

The newcomer, Jelle "pr0phecy" Monen, had the following to say about his move over to RAGE Gaming:

" The last few months in TLR have been a fun couple of months for me, but were also months filled with doubts. Everyone in TLR are very good players, and I consider them all friends, but I had a feeling something had to change, and I realized that change had to be me. Due to conflicting ideas on how to play the game and having different playing styles, we never really managed to achieve our full potential . Earlier this week I had some good conversations with the Rage crew, who I already knew well and respected. It felt right, and I made my decision quickly, even though I had a bad feeling in my stomach that night. Anyhow, I hope the TLR boys find a good fifth quickly. I really hope they manage to get back up to their old level and over it soon. I am proud to wear the Rage banner, we are praccing and preparing hard for lans to come! .
