With just days before the Ultimate Gaming Championship is set to take place in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy, the community and players from all the different games are preparing for four days of many frags, a lot of shouting and hopefully tense moments. Simultaneously, QuadV is going to be present at the event and hopes to catch as many of those moments and events as possible.
The announcement came just two days before they are expected to attend the event, QuadV thus choosing to return to the active scene of eSports and picking up where they left off a couple of years ago, with on-site and LIVE coverage. The return will be led by both Stuart "
TosspoT" Saw, who is reappearing from the shadows of real life for this event, as well as Leight "
Deman" Smith, a fan-favourite amongst Call of Duty 4 fans.
These two prominent QuadV individuals then went about to select their casting team for the different games. They settled with big names and big names only, picking up James "
2GD" Harding and Joe "
Joe" Miller for Quake Live and Counter-Strike: Source, most likely. Then they have two strong names for StarCraft II, with Shaun "
Apollo" Clark and John "
TotalBiscuit" Bain, who have made numerous shows about the game both online as well as offline in the past.
Not only will QuadV be presenting a very strong casting crew, they will use this event to bring to you their debut in the High Definition streaming world, something ESL TV also did at the Intel Extreme Masters World Finals in Hannover, Germany. In total, you will be able to enjoy the different games across two streams, both in High Definition. The event will start being covered from Thursday, March 31st until Sunday, April 3rd.
Casting Crew QuadV:

James "2GD" Harding
Joe "Joe" Miller

One of the founders of QuadV, Stuart "TosspoT" Saw, had the following to say about their planned coverage in the press release:
" It's great to be back in the saddle for a huge event like this. Having known about the UGC for sometime, I am glad that the event is now just a week away and we can begin drooling over both the matches that are to come and the quality of our guest commentators for this event! We hope that over two streams people will be able to feast upon as much action as possible"
Another voice heard in the press release is none other than Alessandro "Stermy" Avallone's, the host of the Ultimate Gaming Championship:
" I'm thrilled to have QuadV managing our streams at the Ultimate Gaming Championship. I want to give a new experience of Live Broadcasting to Gaming events and with their experience and such an amazing casting team, I am sure it will be successful."

QuadV Announcement
The latter.
what a fucking legend
this, however, seeing as how CoD 4 isn't massively sponsored, and the tourney was announced only a month or two in advanced, it was going to be nigh impossible to attend for most of the teams
also, only 8 TUP spaces put a lot of teams off to going

Big sports hall, most of our bits are ready to go in HD afaik. Nice event location albiet a little far from the airport (92km).
It is a shame theres not that many CoD4 teams here, but I've not cast it in so long they will probably seem amazing :p
