Vitriolic-Gaming have announced the addition of QuakeLive's early pace-setter, Richard "noctis" Gansterer, to their rapidly expanding lineup. The Austrian joins upcoming Irish player Ciaran "kRoNic" Rodgers and the former MYM CS 1.6 squad in a team that is starting to force Europe's bigger names to sit up and take notice.
The move comes after weeks of speculation as to whether "noctis" would join a team before IEM Dubai and represents a major coup for Vitriolic. Despite not attending Quakecon, "noctis" proved himself one of Europe's leading talents after brushing aside Sebastian "Spart1e" Siira at the IEM Cologne Pro/Am event only to fall short in the final against the on-form Shane "rapha" Hendrixson.
Vitriolic's editor-in-chief Felix Morgan released a statement breakings the news on the team's homepage and highlighted the player's third place position in the G7 QuakeLive rankings as a sign of his undoubted quality. Morgan also hit back at claims from a fnatic staff member that Vitriolic were a questionable choice for "noctis" in a comment on esreality.com, stating that they have "more backing than just private investors".
