After announcing the previous prize tournaments (including Call of Duty: World at War, Counter-Strike: Source and Halo 3) Multiplay announced earlier today a one tournament for the upcoming i36 event. The tournament in question is devoted to the latest console version of the game in the FIFA serie: FIFA 09 on Xbox360.
The tournament will include a £10,000 (~€12,000) prize purse and the winner will walk out of the venue with £5,000 (€6,000). The eventual runner-up will receive £2,500 (€3,000) in prize money while the bronze medalist will have to get along with £1,000 (€1,200).
Multiplay i36 takes place between 10-13th April 2009 in Stoneleigh Park, United Kingdom.

well, tex08 as far as i saw in the gamehalls, there was just ps3 controllers hooked up to the computer, dunno if people have an advantage with a controller rather than a keyboard, but a choice for the gamers could be nice, and perhaps a bigger show up :)?
GO Andries & Vijay 4THEWIN!
Would love to see Activision/Blizz get the purse out and get WoW Arena's and serious CoD money on the table.
I'm no entirely sure what the difference is between PC and Console for Fifa as surely PC players use pads if needed?
Anyhoo I say big up EA and make other companies see there is a crowd for supported games.
