It's no surprise to anyone that currently
SK-Gaming.com has one of the most complete databases within the e-sports world, at least for the main games, with a few clicks you can find a lot of information on a team and/or player such as detailed map statistics, earnings, last and upcoming matches, events attended and much more.
One of the features is the possibility to track each team/player prize money won. As Dreamhack is still packing its stuff from the Winter 2008 edition held last weekend, there's nothing else in the calendar worth a look for December, which makes this the last big international event of this year.
The list is currently headed by mTw as the Danes were able to gather an impressive sum of $131,423 this year. The gold medals achieved in the KODE5 Global Final, World e-Sports Masters 2008 and World Cyber Games 2008 alone made for a whopping $105,000, and few other top placements across the year helped increasing these figures.
The scenario might be different in a week as the EPS Germany XIII Finals take place next weekend. Favourite Mousesports might add an extra $15,000 to their current $128,025 balance and decisively top the money ranking for 2008 by winning the tournament. SK-Gaming comes in third with almost $95,000, most of it won after Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed's replacement by Markus "Zet" Sundström, about three months ago.
Here's the top 10 list for now, you can click on the team name to know how they cashed in:

mTw 2. $128,025 -
