It was just after World Cyber Games 2008 that Made in Brazil owner Paulo Velloso, interviewed by GotFrag, expressed his anger and dissatisfaction towards the team performances over the last few events. In Cologne, the third place in Group C set the trigger for Velloso's statement who made clear that changes were due to happen.

Carlos "KIKOOOO" Segal was set in charge of the team and a B squad was created, both would be managed by Carlos who then would select those to make mibr's starting five. With two big events ahead of the Brazilian team, EM Continental Finals America and Dreamhack Winter 2008, an ultimatum was made: either mibr win both or drastic measures would be taken.

Taking a quick look at this weekend's Extreme Masters event, the tough words from Velloso did the job. Made in Brazil started at full power winning their group with three victories in a row, even America's finnest x3o didn't get more than 7 rounds. Both would later meet again, in the Grand Final.

Made in Brazil knew what they were dealing with, although x3o made a better performance than the previous clash between both teams, it was not enough to defeat the Brazilian guys who are now heading to Sweden surely with a better atmosphere on board.

The competition will be much tougher there, WCG 2008 winners mTw will be there, the same goes for ESWC 2008 champions MYM. Also the Swedish duo Fnatic and SK Gaming will take part in the tournament. Made in Brazil was drawn into group D along with German powerhouse Mousesports, Portuguese qualified team k1ck eSports and another one that will be determined through the BYOC qualifier to be held at Dreamhack.

Here's the final standings from Extreme Masters Continental Finals America:

1. Brazil Made in Brazil ($25,000)
2. United States x3o ($10,000)
3. United States Gravitas Gaming US ($6.000)
4. United States MoB ($4.000)
5/6. United States Team EG US ($2.500)
5/6. United States Team Guardians ($2.500)

This has been the last Extreme Masters event for 2008, the world circuit is back next year between January 16th and 18th with the Continental Finals Asia in Counter-Strike.
