In a thrilling game, top seed mTw (orange) has come close to losing their first groupstage game at the Outpost on Fire event in Antwerp, being down 6 to 12 on mp_backlot versus Team YoYoTech, one of the lower seeded teams in the tournament.

After exchanging rounds back and forth for the first six rounds, resulting in a 3-3 score, YoYoTech managed to take control of the game and cruise to a comfortable 8-4 lead at halftime.

In the second half, YoYoTech managed to expand their lead on defence, needing only one more round to secure their first victory of the tournament. With 12-6 on the scoreboard, things however completed changed and the German team managed to pick up the pace, winning six rounds back to back to tie the game at 12-12.

Interview by wizinium with mTw jEtLeCk.

Hey jEtLeCk, could you please introduce yourself?

Hello tek9 community; my name is Maurice Bobon; im 17 years old, and im a member of mTw.

Alot of people expected you guys to win versus YYT, what happened?

Since this was our first lan we were really nervous and we couldnt get into our game that quick; we underestimated them a little and they played really well since this is our best map.

What inspired you to this great comeback?

Yeah, at the end we finally got into our game and the whole team picked themselves up; After we started winning a few rounds, the motivation and adrenaline kicked in and we managed to pull it back.

How was your preparation for the event?

Same preperation for every online event. 3 days before the event, we went over tactics and constantly went over the maps to know them inside out. Just playing on invite during the night. We felt we could have been more prepared for the event, this was due to my internet breaking.

How's your time in mTw so far?

We got to know the management well and they seem really friendly. They put all of their trust in us and we want to repay them by getting a good finish at this event.

What are your predictions for the top 3 of OOF3?

1. Reason 2. fnatic 3. mTw

Who do you think will be the strongest player for your team of the tournament?

Jotschy; He is using ak74u, its a pretty fast weapon and he can handle it really well. You can see this by his various multiple takedowns. He is a good motivator and can change the game.

What will you do to improve for your next match?

Im gonna take the chill pill :p

What do you think about your next game against Next Century?

We hope to improve vastly on our previous perfromance. They are a pretty good team and we won't underestimate them.

I wont keep you any longer so you can chill before your next game. Shoutouts?

Shoutout to the whole mTw community who gave us the opportunity to attend this event. And stuwOw and all the people who follow the event and of course the tek9 community.

Thanks again for your time Maurice and best of luck in the tournament.

I hope mTw get to the final would be awesome to show that they don't deserve the 'onliner' tag. Well played to both teams!
