Heaven Media is constantly on the go and we are now looking to expand our team with a freelance designer
With several new projects on their way and plenty of current projects and websites, the work never stops here at Heaven Media. That is why we are now looking to expand our team with another freelance designer. This designer should have a good understanding of the eSports market but foremost designing should have no secrets for him/her. The designs we require range from standard advertisements (for instance for Esports Heaven tournaments) to microsite designs and complete websites. We are looking for the following person:
* You are a creative design talent
* You have a good understanding for the English language
* You are able to reach deadlines and can be easily contacted in case of emergencies
* You are a team player and you can think outside of the box
It is vital for our organisation that whilst you are a partial volunteer and freelancer (you'll get paid for some assignments), that you are able to deliver high quality designs to a professional standard. What can you expect in return for your commitment you might ask? Well you start off as a volunteer and the easiest design tasks within your responsabilities are part of the so called Heaven Media loyalty program. In exchange for your work you are rewarded with points which in turn can be exchanged for hardware from our partners such as Sennheiser or Razer. These include some very simple and basic design work that won't take a skilled designer a lot of time.
Larger design jobs such as landing pages, microsites or similar work will always be financially rewarded if the designer also completes their other. Paid assignments are part of the deal!
To apply for this position, please send an application to steven[a-t]heavenmedia.com which includes your full name, age, location, motivation and portfolio / CV. We will notify the selected applicant within a couple of weeks.

Top Man x
With my extra uni workload this year I couldn't sustain 30 hours of work as well as tek9.
One had to go and I only need 16 hours a week to get by, so I chose to keep helping TEK9 :)
They're asking for it to be done so they can make money from it, thus it is fairly silly to expect it to be unpaid. The only people who'd get anything out of doing it, are those who require work to add to their portfolio and are currently unable to get paid work.
You've got a pretty sad outlook on life if you honestly think it's unfair for someone to enjoy their job. Many of us will spend almost a 3rd of our lives working, working a crappy job for money is somewhat of a wasted existence if you ask me. Work life balance > Money.

But y0 ptER dats sick.. gj!
On the other hand, tek-9 never finishes sites because they do not have the following:
- Professionals who get paid for their work.
- Detailed specification of what they actually want / need.
- A deadline.
I gather everything is done on an ad-hoc idea basis where someone says "I think this will be cool", and a volunteer coder will go and do that. In fact, even if the site was finished, the community would probably whine about missing features, and ask when it's to be finished anyway.
Regardless, these sites are about monetising investments, realistically the jobs done when they're making a profit, and the only job after that is to attempt to make greater profits.

There is a very old saying that i think sums this up very nicely.
"If ya work for nothing, you will never be unemployed!"

and would be a waste of time to do it free, soz tek9 but i can't agree with the fact you "maybe" could have something in return.
Earlier in my life I may have helped out for free as I have done in the past with Vita Nova but at this stage it's not viable.
I'll send over my portfolio and CV just in case any paid work comes up.
