The Benelux based multigaming organization LowLandLions have announced a reformed Counter-Strike 1.6 team for the year 2009. With the new team they hope to create a team with potential for success both in Benelux and international scene. The team consist of one old LowLandLions 1.6 player Ivan Wuddhisukhum, old school Dutch player Ferdi Senel and a trio of former Team Logic members: Dennis Seesing, Mike Degger and Tom Nijenhuis.

The LowLandLions 1.6 roster for 2009 is as follows:

              Belgium Ivan "Apollo" Wuddhisukhum
              Netherlands Ferdi "xire" Senel
              Netherlands Dennis "seezung" Seesing
              Netherlands Mike "trx" Degger
              Netherlands Tom "tommeh" Nijenhuis

Statement LowLandLions Manager Filip Langerock: "We are delighted to welcome a new and motivated team in our midst. With this team LowLandLions fills a final gap in our team-portfolio. By adding rather big Benelux players we assured ourselves of a group of people that will be able to outstand the Benelux and stand up against international competition. We are looking forward to it."

At first the team will attend events in Benelux and will later on get a chance to prove themselves in international playgrounds.

that's not the right thing to say, I think we can compete with them we just don't get much opportunities to play vs them :)
I mean look at us at WCG we played 16-13 vs eSTRO on inferno...who ended 3th there. And these players from LLL now had also some decent results vs good teams in the past ;)
In my opinion it's possible to give the good teams some resistance.

When are LLL going to acquire a 1.6 team that can compete at a high international standard?

I don't see them competing at top 10 international level, up there with the SK's etc, and arguably that's what LLL deserve with all the financial might they have behind them.

well they might not win vs those top teams, but I see them taking easily 10 to 13 rounds at least on some maps vs the good teams :)
