Today TEK9 Networks is sad to announce the departure of Call of Duty star Jyri "kammYz" Högman from the team.

With the summer LAN season fast approaching it became increasingly obvious that if the team wanted to put in the required practice-time to stay on the top of the Call of Duty scene, things would need to change. This ultimately ended with Jyri leaving the team due to motivational issues.

Joining TEK9 at the start of Call of Duty 4, Jyrri quickly became one of the most reknown and talented players in the scene, displaying some incredible performances for the team both online and at LAN.

In the upcoming weeks, the team will be looking for a suitable replacement to attend the various summer LAN events with. All applications will be considered so if you think you have what it takes to become a member of TEK9, don't hesitate to contact a member of squad in private as every application will be confidential.

The remaining lineup is as follows:

Davy
OZWALD
strelok
haya

Statement Jyri "kammYz" Högman:
"First off I wanna thank the managament, dfb, con & everyone else for taking a controversial player like me to the team(obv. same goes to cod4 team).

The truth is because of personal problems I had thought about leaving the team all the way before CDC4, but I wanted to pay them back for giving me this chance.

By now I realise that was a terrible idea, I completely killed my motivation, will to play with the team and most importantly I slowed them down for the tournaments coming up this summer by forcing myself to keep playing with the team.

Im sorry about all the problems I've caused in last few months, and I hope u guys find a great fit to the team, good luck at AEF & TEX =)"

Statement tek9.OZWALD: "We decided to remove Jyri because of the problems we have been experiencing so far with our preparation for the upcoming LANs. It was fine during the CDC & i33 as our preparation wasn't too intense, but now as we are getting closer to the summer, we need to be fully prepared and we just can't, as it makes it hard for both Jyri and us to cope with the computer problems.

We all wish Jyri the best of luck in whatever he tries to accomplish, and hope there are no hard feelings between us as we have been having really good times during both CDC and i33.

We are now looking for a mature, preferably over 18 and coming from benelux player. Of course we will consider every application we receive as long as they remain serious and coming from real dedicated players, even if you aren't 18 or from benelux. Don't consider asking us if you don't have a good computer and good english. Thank you for your understanding."
