JeeSports Open Quake Live Cup #1

JeeSports had announced a series of Invitational Cups that would have a bigger prize purse than the famed ZOTAC Duel Cup series and should draw in a very similar crowd. However, to fill up their Invitational tournaments, they are organizing a series of Open Quake Live Duel Cups.

With some of the bigger names in the Duel scene already being secured and announced as playing in the JeeSports Invitational Quake Live Duel Cup #1, which is set to take place on March 13th, the people might overlook these JeeSports Open Quake Live Duel Cups as not providing us with enough entertainment or big name players.

However, the first JeeSports Open Quake Live Duel Cup will have a prize purse of €100 for first and a guaranteed slot in the following JeeSports Invitational Quake Live Duel Cup, which should generate enough interest from the community and as the event is open to everyone, there should be enough applicants. Another note of interest is the changed map pool in comparison to the ESL events, as Battleforged and Concrete Palace will take the place of Dismemberment and Hektik.

On another note, Level Up TV should provide us with streams of the event on Saturday, March 19th where we should see a very similar tournament tree structure as those of the ZOTAC Duel Cup.

-Sign-ups Open: Tuesday, March 8th @16h00 CET
-Start Tournament: Saturday, March 19th @17h00 CET

-Map pool: Blood Run, Aerowalk, Vertical Vengeance, Battleforged, Lost World, Furious Heights, Concrete Palace
