With the much anticipated Insomnia42 event being only 16 days away, the current team total stands at an impressive 40 teams, reaching the £2.5k prize pot trigger.
The UK's largest LAN event is just weeks away from re-opening it's doors for yet another weekend of intense competition, festivity and fun. Insomnia42, set in southern England, currently has 1243 paid participants ready to contend in a wide variety of games, ranging from old favourites such as CounterStrike: Source and Call of Duty 4 to more recent titles like StarCraft II.
The Call of Duty 4 event seems to be well under way to becoming one of the most notable LAN event's on the United Kingdom's 2011 calendar with 35 teams fully paid up, alongside 5 more who are just moments away from completion. With this news comes more, due to the high amount of sign-ups the COD4 tournament had broken through yet another prize pot trigger, bringing the prize money to £2,500, that's nearly €2,900 for our European counterparts.
Within the sign-up list several prominent names can be seen shining out, most notably teams such as YoYoTech, Imperial and Infused. Amongst these leading names are several hopefuls that could easily shake up the mix, such as newly formed team ROYALTY who have burst onto the scene with new found prowess.
TEK9 will be down at the event in full force offering full coverage for the duration of the event, from interviews to live score up-dates. A live stream will be coming straight to you throughout the weekend from CODTV shout caster Dennis "mennace" Fick, allowing you to keep up-to-date with every upset and surprise, as well as giving you the ability to keep tabs on your favourite team.
With just 16 days to go only time will tell if more big names are due to make an appearance, but one thing is for sure at the I-Series, everyone there is in for a good weekend.
Hope to see you all down there!
sounds about right, UK scene >Rest of Europe

Since when is saying good luck to someone hinting for people to beg you to come back?
Honestly, grow the fuck up, I can see why Metuz left.

Are there going to be VoD's? Would also be good if there would be more shoutcasters covering games that you won't be able to do due to casting other games, just a thought. GL
perhaps give you another reason, but thats another thing )
it does sound tho like u hint at it since you started posting how glad you are that someone is casting (even tho you hate the community? ^^) since you quit (more than once I should say)
and mennace I don't see how I in any way stated that I have a problem, and I didn't said he was hinting for anything, hence the question mark.
So apparently saying "Glad to see Mennace casting, best of luck man" actually means "please community beg for me, Im just so desperate." Ok then.
Just take the post for what it was, me wishing Mennace luck. Nothing more, nothing less.
and if you realised the community had trolls etc recently coz tosspot flamed u on a cast....
you're either new on tek9 and having cg_teamchatsonly 1 on while playing or extremely dumb
anyway, gl mennace, expecting sick casts
':D'
hardly tune into any casts, wouldn't know which voice is which of them
so what if its a "shit" lan, atleast its keeping the community alive :S:S:S:S

cu there boys.
People base most of what they say around the tournaments, but that isn't what Iseries is about in the grand scheme of things. Yes that's generally the reason most of us attend and come together, but that isn't all you pay for.
so what if its a "shit" lan, atleast its keeping the community alive :S:S:S:S
Must agree this is true, multiplay have always followed the cod4 series (except i38 which was dog) and with 3 iSeries a year its still keeping the uk scene active if anything.
