One hour and two nerve-wracking semi finals later, we have ourselves an upperbracket final. The first semi final saw vital.dBGamez playing against Team Dignitas. Vital won the knife and started on attack. They stormed to an early 7-2 lead, but it went downhill from there. Dignitas played with their heads and effectively neutralised the man disadvantage they suffered from. Bringing it back to 7-5, it soon became tit-for-hat with Dignitas on the attack. 8-8. 9-9. Neither side could really get the advantage. 10-10. The inseparableness of the two teams was unbearable. 11-11. Whoever won the next round would be on match point. A fast push by Dignitas saw them take the upper hand. They ran the same tactic again, dropping vital to 1 man. Peter "ptER" Mathers faced 3 Dignitas men to keep them in the upperbracket. 1 down. 2. Could he do it? Yes he can! He takes robyee down and defuses the bomb to take it to overtime.
Vital started the overtime on attack, and took the first round. SoakR was left in a 1v2 to make it 2-0. He got the first man, but couldn't win his game of cat and mouse with Blackmane before the timer ran out. Despite getting the bomb down, vital lost the round to give Dignitas the advantage going into the second half of overtime.
In the first round of their attack, Dignitas make a costly mistake as lighters accidentally kills one of his own teammates. Vital capitalise to level the game again. Again, Dignitas manage to grab the round to take it to match point. Once again, ptER goes absolutely huge again, winning another 1v3 to take it to double overtime.
As before, Dignitas take the 2-1 advantage going into the second half of overtime. With the score at 17-16 in Dignitas' favour, it is clear some of the vital players are starting to get frustrated. Vital work themselves into a 2v1 position, with he bomb to defuse. Unfortunately for them, the "1" they were playing against was Jonathan "raz" Baker. He cluctched, and gave Dignitas their third match point. This time there was no messing about. There might be only 4 of them, but they are a formidable 4. Dignitas pushed hard down middle to take the game 19-16.

The other semi final was a rematch between watch and learn and fragmasters. Last time it was on mp_crash, and it ended in stalemate. Keen to make amends for the 12-12 scoreline earlier, both teams set about it with a vengeance. Fragmasters started on defence, waL on attack. It did not start well for fm! sapphire, losing a number of the early rounds to go down 2-5. Attempts to restructure their defence were to no avail, and it became 9-3 in favour of waL at half time. Once again, fragmasters seemed to come alive in the second half. They dropped one round in the next 5, to take it to a much more even 10-7 scoreline. They kept the pressure up and took it to 11-11.
The next round would give one team match point. Knowing this full well, fragmasters played aggressively and confidently to win the round. Energised by their position, they pushed hard for the final round. However, waL had other ideas. Making one last ditch attempt to salvage an overtime, they came right up the middle of the street, all guns blazing. It came as a surprise to fm!, and it worked. But the real trick was not what they did to fm!'s attack, it was what it did to their minds.
Well done too all teams
Keep it up guys, would love to see you winning this event, huge respect!
