i39: Blog Day 3 - wiziniUm

After a quiet night last night I was feeling refreshed. I woke up at around 9.00am, jumped in the shower and got ready. We were up early today and made it down for breakfast in plently of time. Patrick and Michael joined us from cadred after they woke up. Breakfast was great as per usual and its really good to have something good to eat to start the day with. We finished up and made our way to the venue.

Steven managed to get a great parking space near the entrance and by the time we knew it we were all set up for our 3rd day at i39. It was very much like yesterday, I went to the second floor on the grand stand to see stimulus gaming play and when they were finished I headed over to see iQPAD. Bobert let me use his laptop to type up my blog and StuwOw let me use his PC to type up an interview with him. StuwOw also let me play one of this group games which they were 7 rounds into, I managed to dop a 17 bomb easy so this could be my comeback to competitive gaming. Steven came round and took some pictures of iQPAD playing and a picture of me and my ED admin Bobert! I uploaded by blog and interview and then was shocked to see an old face. Yes, Dan "soakR" Helps came to LAN. I couldnt believe it, I introduced myself to djx, CAS and Dan. I have known Dan for 6 years now and I have never met him at a LAN, he put out his hand for a handsake but a forget that, had the give the guy a hug! It was great to see him there and I hope to see him again at i40.

I watched Stimulus and iQPAD for most of the day with not a great deal happening. While I was behind stimulus I felt 2 big hands on both my shoulders, looked up and saw a bearded man. I thought it was Gary Glitter but turned out to be Morg! We had a chat and then I went to watch iQPAD vs rive where I met pansy again. She came to the event with tacca and Morg and on this occassion I didnt get to see tacca. All the groups were done so it was time to plan our night ahead. Me, Steven and Stimulus decided to hit fever a nightclub in Newbury instead of liquid, it was looking like it was going to be an interesting night. I went to see Steven and told him the plans. While going to see Steven I met my hero, Joshua "twrs" Towers, I'm glad he made it down to the event! While I was with twrs I managed to find, Leo, twist and georgie who were sitting playing HoN. After a while I headed up to see Steven and tell him our plans.

I headed down to the bar with the stimulus guys, had a few drinks and headed back to the hotel. Me and Danny were pretty hungry so he came over to our room and Steven had brought some curry noodles which were pretty good and filled a gap. It was 10.30 and we ended up leaving to go to fever at 12.00. It took everyone so long to get ready while me and Steven were done in 15 mins, so we watched match of the day and danny and Chris still werent ready. Finally at 12.00am we made it to Fever. At the club was me, Steven, Danny (soclon), Chris (lighters), Nick (jonesy), Nathan and Craig (gsX). We queued for over 30 minutes but we made it in. The first floor was really old school music like grease lightning and upstairs had modern music on. Me and Steven had a few drinks then hit the dancefloor. Within about 30 seconds, I had pulled so it was a pretty good start to the night. The dancefloor was pretty busy and I never thought I would dance to the rick rolled theme but I was proved wrong. After a while of dancing, we headed upstairs to get a few more drinks in. We then hit the dancefloor again and was a great laugh, Chris was going mad wearing a wig and the music was pretty decent. Danny then made a move on a girl but me and Steven thought he got rejected but how wrong were we. He sort of got rejected then started dancing again but about 15 minutes minutes later she came up to him and they both went off together. The night was coming to an end so we headed back downstairs for the last few songs were it wasnt too busy. The night came to an end but even more people came up and started talking to us. My impression of UK girls was that they just throw themselves onto you, compared to the likes of Belgium and even back home in Northern Ireland. Somone wanted a photo with me because of my accent as did her mate so it was a good laugh near the end. Danny then came down with his girl and we headed outside. The bouncers started taking the piss out of Danny while he was with her and then disappeared off with her. The rest of us headed around to "snooty fox" because it was open to 5.00am. The queue was massive so we decided to head back to the hotel, while we were looking for a taxi, we saw Danny and his girl. He didn't come back to the hotel with us and went back to hers for the night. More about this story shall be in my blog tomorrow. Craig went for a kebab and got a taxi back to the hotel. I was so tired that I just went back to the room and hit the sack!
