For my next interview I sat down with Chris "Lighters" Lightburn from Reason Gaming and asked him a couple of questions on how this tournament is going.
I see you're still lying through you're teeth about us (X.evo) not being on irc/steam group. Quite glad you didn't make it to the final, must be nice to have MPUK as sponsors giving you free pass to the next stage despite your incompetence with regards to preparation.
Sorry for the flame to follow Lighters but it's a blatent lie that you could not see any of the Xevo players on the Steam group. We added ourselves to the group very early on when all it had was a few other players and a load of TUP steam accounts. At that time, there where no Reason players listed in the group. This means you added yourselves to the group after we did and therefore there's no excuse for not being able to contact you.
It actually doesn't surprise me that you got re-added to the tournament, this is Multiplay through and through.
I can't believe such a big organisation like Reason have complete disregard for organisation, preparation and sportsmanship.

So much lies and you dont have a clue.
I went to the briefing where the admins even said we expect problems with hardware/steam/lan/mw:2 as this is the first tournament so there will be problems.
Meeting was at 7:55 - game was at 8pm, i got back to my pc and i had no interent, an admin had to fix the lan connection which i then posted on irc saying we cant find out opponents xevo after looking on the steam group there was only XB, admins even said this and asked all teams to rename with their tags on.
Also about us getting special treatment because of sponsors is bullshit, we even went to admins and explained ourselves and there was a complete lack of communication between everyone examples being meeting at tote bar at 8:20 and then not taking place until 30minutes later in which we could hardly hear!
CBA to get into the ins and outs but i.qpad said they were more than happy to play us and not claim default but only if xevo would also play because if i.qpad lost then it would mean they were out.
Dont even spout shit about sportsmanship, after you took a strop about the default when the problems were literally out of our hands, there was 16/18 teams to play a tournament that was set-up for 64teams atleast meaning there should be no defaults! MESS wont comment any further on the matter as you seem to have your head up ur arse already X
If you keep saying it over and over it might actually become true! I personally joined the steam group Friday morning not long after it was announced we had to be on there, I also logged into the 2 irc channels first thing everyday, no sign of any of you or any messages unless this took place between a restart. At the time of the game we were sitting in a party in MW2 for 45 minutes looking for you. Even if this was before the naming message was posted on the steam group the team rosters are not at all hidden, doesn't take much investigative skills to look for the names minus the tags.
Of course you got special treatment, if you believe otherwise then you're delusional and your head is in fact up your own arse. If it was us or Empathy for example I imagine we'd be told to fuck off, complete shambles of a tournament or not, doubt they'd shake up the entire tournament for us.
Only thing I can actually agree with is the lack of communication, first time I found out they waived the rules in your case and you'd been reinstated and were sitting in second place was looking at the standings on Cadred, not a single message on steam/irc by any MPUK admins which is unacceptable.
At the end of the day I don't really give a shit about the tournament, we were never gonna win, we just came for a laugh and to play some games (in the end we managed to get 1 mw2 game), the rule bending as well, has happened before, will happen again. What does bother me is your attempt to publicly defame us in more than one instance because you weren't ready - I do believe Vanquish was told by one of you when we were waiting for you that not all of you even had the game installed.

Notice how we didnt complain about the cod4 tournament which we got defaulted over beacuse it actually was our fault which we can admit! we even paid £25 into the prize pot in advance so if we had anything to wine over it would be this competition so i have no reason to spout shit, only thing i can say is miscommunication from everyone - end of the day you took the forefit and i.qpad decided to play against us
