i37: Wargasm's Blog - Day 2

Before I begin, a plea for help: does anyone have a samsung phone charger?!

I woke up after about 5 hours of sleep by the sunlight streaming in through the window, and rolled over to josh staring into my eyes. Will had said the night before to be up by 10 and it was only 9:30, so we decided to lie in bed for a bit. Josh started to hump his pillow, which was suspiciously wet afterwards (he claims it was damp from his clothes).

Sidney decided to watch tv, but didn't understand the concept of hotel tv. We watched a few minutes of a film. This guy was trying to find a condom to do this girl with, but when he finally got one she had gone. He turned round and went: "what?!" and then it ended.

Sidney couldn't cope with not knowing how the film concluded and proceeded to fail a few times to enter our room number into the TV system to pay for the movie channels before finally getting it right on his third time. He then decided he didn't actually like the film and turned it over onto to star trek, which we watched for a good 45 minutes. Eventually we got all showered, but the smapoo bottle I brought was actually empty, so I used the supplied hotel stuff and smelt of lavender for the rest of the day. Yay...

We went over to Steven, Will and Alastair's room to get them, but they weren't ready yet. Steven and will were still in bed and Alastair had inexplicably disappeared some hour or so previously. However, they had breakfast out (apparently that was booked in for our rooms, yet we hadn't got any) so I nicked a yoghurt. SIdney went for a croissant but Steven kicked him out. I guess I'm just more important than sidney!

So we got into the car and I had my comuppance, I opened the yogurt and it went everywhere... Not useful when I am wearing a black T-shirt. We rolled up to the event and saw Germaine from TCM standing outside with his dad, so we chatted for a bit and then I set up next to sidney. I watched sidney keen it up for 30 mins or so before attempting to get into the press area, only to be thwarted by over-zealous security guards.

Steven and will turned up and after a while went to the press area, although not before joining Josh in a pint (at 12:00, I might add) and managed to get in without being eviscerated by security. I followed them up to find Paul (aka ReDeYe) had bought a metric ton of food for all the people representing Heaven Media on that balcony. Since I spent all money @ OOF3 and had literally £3 to live off this event, I was pretty thrilled.

Two packets of mini cheddars later I set about checking out the event itself. I bumped into SExx, Pukka and co wandering aimlessly around the event and we went to irritate sidney for a bit. There I met Amped from Vikings, what a legend. He's essentially will, but just a bit better in most if not all respects. Will was persuaded into doing some work for once by steven, and they went and did a video interview with Arm3d, the belgian team. Unfortunately, we have still yet to edit and upload the video as all of our laptops / pcs we tried either a) aren't good enogh b) don't have the right software or c) don't have the right video codecs on them and we weren't sure which ones we needed. So an all round fail there.

I went off to spec auric in their game against Dignitas. I sat behind my matey (damnit I should stop using pirate facebook) Core and watched as they went 7-0 up. It turned out Dignitas were playing with their CS:S team for a laugh, but after that the real team came on and the game became very one sided, finishing 14-10 to Dignitas.

At this point I decided to talk to ptEERR from Team Element, who had beaten Infused and are looking like they are going to top their group. I talked to him for a bit before heading back to the press room. Steven and Gonzo were comparing beers, and I listened with amusement as Steven recounted his belgian drinking stories I had all heard @ OOF to Gonzo. I decided to interview ptEERR, and wrote up a nice set of questions over 20 mins or so, then went to get my responses. The team all chipped in and were really helpful, so I strongly suggest you give it a read!

After that I had the interesting task of getting back to the press room. Since we are on a balcony at the back on the exhibition hall, the main way in was closed as the big gates to the exhibition hall come down at about 9. There are fire doors, but they only open nfrom one side and someone had closed them! In the end I had to wend my way through the MPUK headquarters, which resembled an assualt course with all the servers/wires/general mess around.

I finally got back to the press room and wrote up the element interview before heading down to the bar to find Steven. I found him along with Will, Joh, Paul, Leo (killzx), most of infused female, half of vikings, david and some others. Thorpy was there too, and proceeded to get more and more drunk, continually checking that I knew who he was and that I remembered him! At some point he thought it would be a good idea to start taking his clothes off and begain parading around half naked, much to the delight of Vixxen, I should add!

After an hour or so of drunken lunacy, I went back to the hall where I saw Josh unplugging his headset. I thought he was packing up to leave, but he was just getting his ultra-loud headset to give to VAE so he could sing. We went over and josh pluged his eadset in. VAE is infamous somewhat for his signing,and as soon as the headset was in he was off. The funny thing was that he wasn't all that bad. Needless to sa his rendition of Tenacious D - Tribute turned a few heads.

Thorpy then proceeded to pick up Leo, and ran up and down the aisle, knocking over a few charis and eventually falling over in a heap with Leo still writhing in his arms. I headed off quickly before the crazy drunkrd turned his attention on me, and perhaps wisely so - Thorpy got kicked out after getting in a fight with 3 guys (he headbutted one of them).

Eventually we decided it was time to call it a night, so I packed up and went to the car with Josh + SIdney, but steven and will where nowhere to be seen. In the end Josh had just had enough and drove me and sidney to the hotel and went back for them. When he returned he brought a new addition to our room in the form of David HUnter, who slept with josh in the double bed.

Another exciting day! Saturday beckons, and with the promise of the playoffs and teams getting knocked out only to drown their sorrows in the bar I expect a lot more drunken stories in saturday's blog!
