The Hostile Faction Call of Duty 4 USA squad shows no hostility as their leader returns home to MoB Gaming.
As is true in real life, no one is safe when the MoB takes over your town, and the same has held true for online gaming. After being on somewhat of a Call of Duty 4 hiatus since the completion of the third season of CEVO, MoB Gaming has not been a name heard much around the North American competitive community since. However, after a recent discussion with
Justin "Relix" Whitman, one of the old PC managers for Hostile Faction USA, he assured me that "MoB is making a comeback!"
With the announcement of the recent CEVO and Zowie sponsored March Madness Tournament, many old team names, representative of the once flourishing Call of Duty 4 North American competitive community, have been returning to the scene to reclaim the title as one of the best teams out their. Although some of the teams have either completely revamped or made minor adjustments to their rosters, they are back in some form to represent their gaming organizations. Amongst those once forgotten, yet remembered teams include
50 Calibre Gaming,
Dynamic,
eMazing Gaming,
MoB Deep,
Nexus Gaming and more.
Back in the day these teams were considered to be some of the top teams that competed in the North American scene, and now they are back to reclaim the title of victor in which they think they rightfully have earned and deserve. However, with the return of an old team name, comes the demolishment of a more current one known as
Hostile Faction.
Hoping to ride the wave of momentum that has captured the interest of the North American community,
Matthew "Chimpae" Gomez and his team return home to MoB Gaming to represent the organization in the upcoming CEVO events. Chimpae was the original leader of the MoB Deep squad that saw sucess in both the TotalGaming League and CEVO during the first year of Call of Duty 4. With a new squad of players behind him, he looks like he is ready to move forward and represent the MoB Gaming family once again.
Having managed to take third at the recent NERV 3 LAN, there is no doubt that Hostile Faction (now MoB Deep), have what it takes to compete with the top teams in this game. Facing a tough loss to Loaded in the upper bracket semi-finals at NERV gives the team a reason to come back and prove to the community that they have what it takes to compete with the best of them. With a roster boasting players from other skilled amateur teams in the past like Blight, Pure, and STFU Gaming, this squad definitely has potential.
While Hostile Faction might be regretting the loss of their top USA Call of Duty 4 team, MoB Gaming is rejoicing after finding a successful team to enter the new era of Call of Duty 4 with.
