Herr Come Out Of SAGE With Old Friend

The team to cause perhaps one of the strongest upsets at the SAGE event was surely Herr. They did not seem to perform at their best in the Group Stage but then surprised all by eliminating Next Evolution from the tournament and taking a map of Team WinFakt! in the Semi-Final. Therefore it is somewhat surprising to see them change their line-up and move back to a prior state.

Herr had to part with Claudio "solu" Giovanniello in the beginning of June as the German Italian player felt he did not want to spend his Summer playing Call of Duty 4 competitively. Thus being with only four, they managed to attract the NORDIC-eSport player, Stefan "Guana" Geisler who would attend SAGE with them.

We all know what happened next, as Herr really stepped it up in the Playoffs to deliver off such a strong performance and finished the event as fourth. However, in the days after SAGE, the Herr boys were approached by former team mate, Claudio "solu" Giovanniello, again who told them he had changed his mind and would like to come back.

Herr then had to make a really tough decision, as they have been successful with both players and eventually ended up favouring the history they shared with their Germanic Italian and rewelcomed the Heroes captain, with whom he attended SAGE as well. Reunited again, the team will now be focusing mainly on securing the necessary support to see them attend European events more regularly and fortunately, they have already signed up and paid for the Adroits CoD Masters in 3 weeks.

The team captain, Robert "mean" Kouters, gave TEK9 the following statement about their recent changes:

" Not long ago solu, who went inactive back in April, made it clear to us that he had made a mistake back then and wanted to join the team again. Guana had only just been added to our lineup however and that was going fairly well, considering our results at SAGE. It was really the toughest dilemma we ever faced as a team. Guana and solu both are quality players, but their strengths lie in different aspects. We decided to get solu back in the team and and we'll try to apply what Guana has learned us in the short time he played with us. Stefan is an amazing guy and I want to thank him for his efforts, motivation and dedication and I wish him the best of luck."
