Helsinki COD Challenge Increase Prize Purse

With the Helsinki COD Challenge set to happen mid-April, the event is already shaping up nicely with the local community being very active in promoting it and quite a few known teams have already signed up and paid for the event. However, the people behind the event are pleased to inform that they have secured another sponsor who will be helping the event.

The prize purse will be complemented with extra SteelSeries products, as the 10 year anniversary of the big peripheral company inspired them to support this Finnish event with some extra hardware prizes for the winners of the eventual tournament.

As of right now, 12 teams have signed up and paid for the event, with 11 of them being Finnish plus the recently announced Swedish line-up of Regret eSports. There have even been teams that were created solely for the purpose of attending this event and being a part of the biggest Call of Duty 4 event to have graced Finland in a very long time.

With still several spots open, there might still be room for some of the more international teams to think about attending this event from April 16th until April 17th. The prize purse is still the same, with €1,000 still going to first place as well as 5 SteelSeries 7H Headsets.

Date: Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th April
Location: Nuorten Toimintakeskus Happi, Sörnäinen
Entrance Fee: €150 a team (managers and extra players can enter for free)
Sign-up:

-Send an e-mail to 4community[dot]fi[at]gmail[dot]com with subject "Signing up to HCC"
-E-mail should include: team's name, nationality & all players' real names + nicknames
-The e-mail should also include the configs of all attending players, so separate game profiles can be created in advance

All teams interested in attending can take up the aforementioned instructions and sign themselves up for the event. We hope the event gains a lot of international attention, as it is a unique way for the European community to explore the Finnish scene.
