Helsinki COD Challenge #2 With Groups

With just a couple of days left before the Helsinki COD Challenge #2 is set to go live and some of Europe's best teams travel to the stinging cold of Helsinki, Finland, the organisation have made public the groups and schedule of the coming weekend.

It's hard picking your favourites for this event. Okay, maybe it's not entirely, as Anexis eSports will be the only non-Northern country that makes the trip and have been dominating the events for the entire 2011 year. However, it's never sure when the reign might possibly end and this event will bring bare teams that are rarely seen at the traditional European events, so you cannot quite know how they'll perform.

The groups for most will be a difficult time in itself, with four groups of five (except for group D) teams going at it between themselves. Quite a few foreign influences have decided to come to Finland and will need to make sure that they can secure the TOP 3 position in their groups to be sure of their Playoff goal.

In each of those four groups, the best three teams will advance to the Bracket. However, the numbers two and three of each group will need to play a decider game to see who gets to go into the WinnerBracket Round 1, where they will be facing the numbers one of each group. The Lower Bracket will be Best-of-One games mr15 with the Upper Bracket being all Best-of-Three mr12 matches.
