The weekend proved once more that the Hungarian scene is still being ruled sovereignly by the experienced players of Hello Kitty. The city of Vác, Hungary played host to the seventh edition of the ICL and a total of 13 teams showed up to fight over a small cash prize, complemented by a steady dose of hardware.
Call of Duty 4 only played a minor role at the event, with Counter-Strike 1.6 being the bee's knees at the local event, with 39 teams showing up and even Call of Duty 2 had more teams at the event than our beloved game. However, this did not stop the troops surrounding Csongor "FUTUREEE" Beder and Dávid "Stormy" Fézler and they just stormed the event to claim first place.
The other teams' odds had increased prior to the event, though, as it became known that Tamás "kZstaR" Ádámszky would not be travelling to the event with his team due to having to write an exam the following morning and not wanting to take the risk. In his place, current PLAYON player, Gergely "GREG" Cseh, took his place.
The weakened Hello Kitty side was still not dangered, even though Team GIGABYTE tried their best in the Grand Final, after having finished WiLD Multigaming off in the lowerbracket final. They picked mp_strike, but could not come close enough to push it into a second map and had to settle with second place after a 09 to 13 loss.
