GameTech Soap Turned Sour For Danes

TEK9 announced the news the week before Christmas, that a new Danish top team had arisen and was looking to play a big role in the 2011 Call of Duty 4 competitive season. However, it has turned out that their support was far from legit and they have luckily already found a replacement organisation to help them attend events in 2011.

 GameTech turned out to be a false project, with them having promised the young team support for LANs in 2011 and a multitude of sponsors to choose from. As is so often the case, it all sounded too good to be true, which not so long ago, turned out was exactly the case. The team felt betrayed and immediately left their home of false promises in order to yet find support for 2011.

Luckily time was still on their side and nothing had to be rushed in order for them to attend some of the European events. A long wait was, however, not needed and most likely through Stefan "Guana" Geisler's short period as a mixer for Team Pentia, he had made the connection with the manager of the current NORDIC-eSport organisation.

The team approached NORDIC-eSport and both parties quickly came to an agreement on what the shared goals are and just now, the organisation has officially announced the former GameTech line-up as being part of NORDIC-eSport. With their biggest rivals, Crime Riders, already disbanding, they are looking to be shoe-ins for local control and might be able to pull off interesting results abroad, should they stick together and keep up the practise regime.

NORDIC-eSport's CEO and Manager, Caspr Ackermann, handed out the following statement on the team's website:

" It's with great pleasure that we today have signed with the Danish Call of Duty 4 team, formerly known as NTS Gaming. After some time, where I have talked with the team captain guana, we found out, that we shared the same goals. Both parties, the team and NORDIC-eSport, expect the team to reach the top of Europe within 2011. We do know that this may sound a bit premature, but it is, as previously written, a clear goal for both parties. We think that with the help from NORDIC-eSport's sponsors and management, the team will be able to reach that goal. You'll be able to follow the the new team's jouney at NORDIC-eSport.com. The Danes' captain, Stefan "Guana" Geisler, added the following words to the team's addition to NORDIC-eSport:

With the support of NORDIC-eSport, we are looking forward to take Europe with storm in 2011, proving ourselves both as the number one team in Denmark, as well as a top 10 team in Europe.
