The twenty-fourth edition of the G-Data Cup has come to an end with fnatic's Kevin "strenx" Baeza taking first place once more.Day after day the Frenchman seems to be improving his game and it shows. Strenx managed to claim his fifth GData victory in a row, his seventh win in the past ten tournaments. With another potential candidate and former GData winner, Alexey "Cypher" Yanushevsky of Serious Gaming, dropping out of the tournament in the second round, the road looked all clear for the fnatic player, who managed to overcome Swedish duellers Tomas "doj" Jonson and Daniel "a1r-r41d" Götell, as well as Konstantin “Cny” Kalganov on his way to the Grand Final.
In the Grand Final, the German ESL Pro Series participant Sebastian “abso” Wanek, who took out Romain "Dem0n" Leclercq in a close 2 to 1 game, was unable to stop strenx’ run in the weekly GData Quake Cups, who claimed first place and another €100 without losing a single map.
Final Standings:
Kevin "strenx" Baeza - 100€
Sebastian "abso" Wanek
-
Romain "Dem0n" Leclercq
Konstantin "Cny" Kalganov
