G Data QL Cup #22 Today! Strenx wins

For those of you who perhaps don't follow the Quake Live scene so closely, every Saturday and Sunday are one-day Quake Live 1v1 tournaments with a €100 cash prize for the winner of each. Every cup sees action from known competitive players, and past winners have included:

As you can see, with a €100 prize purse the top players are keen to get some online tournament practice as often as they can. Today the 1v1 games start at 15.00 CET and will be streamed by Holysh1t.

As predicted, the lg-loving Frenchman met with k1llsen in the final. This is a final which we saw just days before, during the first Rockit weekday cup. However strenx wasn't going to let K1llsen win this time and he took the final 2 - 0 in maps. Not surprisingly, he won the first map dm6. What did come as a surprise though was that he was able to make a nice comeback on ztn, a map he is known to dislike.
