LowLandLions have announced the departure of Quake superstar Magnus "fox" Olsson in a move that sees former TEK9 player Jeffrey "draven" Debipersad replace the Swede. After over a year in the side "fox" decided to split from his former FPO manager Birger De Geyter, the latter stating that LowLandLions would now shift their focus to the Benelux market.
Currently ranked fifth in the G7 QuakeLive rankings after strong performances at QuakeCon and the IEM Pro/Am, "fox" has a rich history in the Quake series and is not expected to remain a free agent for long. He has already been linked with ButtonBashers but could also be a target for the likes of SK and fnatic as the game continues to grow in Europe.
LowLandLions' replacement, "draven", is not quite a household name but he has started well in QuakeLive and has been a consistent performer for a number of years now. Winning an invite to the IEM Pro/Am event gave him the chance to take on Europe's best and a move to LowLandLions is likely to secure him more opportunities to do just this. Replacing "fox" will not be easy but the twenty one year old claims he is "looking forward to playing under the LLL tag".
The management and the players involved released the following statements on lowlandlions.com.

If a team like Lowlandlions comes and are interested in you, it doesn't take me long to think about the offer. wtf @sequence & cyan? xDDDDDDDD fox has been a top dueler since 2003 :D doing all the major Quake LANs in Q3/Q4 & now QL...it's not because he started in TDM/CTF 7 years ago, he is now new at dueling :D hahhahaha :D

Fox played for iceclimbers (swedish team) in Q3 where they destroyed all other teams for years in TDM and CTF.
