One of the most recognised French teams within Call of Duty 4, previously known as Mondial Servers, have today completed their negotiations to join the seasoned eSports organization of Virus Gaming.
The promising French team first shocked the community during mid 2010 at the Antwerp eSports festival. Originally seeded for 15th place, the team quickly shocked spectators beating the Italian side of Airborne Gaming over the duration of two maps gaining them a possible fifth place finish. The side's last offline performance however was earlier this year at the Gamersject Winter Challenge in the stunning location of Zagreb, Croatia, where they once again found themselves loosing out on a 4th place finish. Since then the team have struggled with support, unable to summon the finances needed to compete on the European platform, forcing them to look elsewhere for a suitable new home for the foreseeable future.
After an extensive search the team found themselves at the doorstep of Virus Gaming, a reputable organization that has a wide grasp within many eSports titles, notably Starcraft II. The team has dabbled within the Call of Duty scene before, picking up the previous Epsilon side, but it was not meant to be with relations breaking down just one week after the side joined the Virus ranks when it became evident that miscommunication had taken place during negotiations. Despite this revelation the team are confident in their selection, having spoke to the management on multiple occasions at several national LAN events and feel that their new home will provide them a nurturing environment that shall allow them to flourish.
The team's plans for the future are admirable, planning on taking on the ESL Major Series Season IX, to which they have already qualified, the CyberGamer Invite League, the ESH Corsair Vengeance Cup alongside several major LAN events. You will be able to see the side at their first offline event this up-coming November at the Helsinki CoD Challenge #2, and are also planning on attending the UK's largest LAN event Insomnia44 on November 18th.
You can find the new Virus Gaming roster below:
The team's new manager, Mathieu "Artik" Carmona published the following statement:Cyril "oAzZ" Duvignau
Raphaël "RaiGeKi`" Nunes
Arnaud "DRANRR" Renard
Antoine "aliiive" Daguier
Matthieu "ZelKeN" Mortier

we joined them in our old team
then they said oh were not sure we want a cod4 team
then they said ok we do
then they said oh were not sure our fps manager might leave
then they said ok we do
then we heard nothing for weeks cept for the worlds worst contract I have ever seen
Then we left and they called us unprofessional
might not be exactly what happened but was roughly like that ;d
and yeah, virus didnt pay salaries for finnish sc2 players either (for example naama and elfi). afaik everythings fine with their finnish css team tho.
GL nevertheless

Your a manager right? No wonder no good teams join your org.
And now i'm being serious. Everyone knows that virus is a bit weird with all the money they got, it's not new, and some days ago a polemic was on. (with naama elfi... and satiini btw? The finland gaming house wasn't the only cause.)
So i won't doubt this is nice org, because skyboot is actually really nice ! maybe the fact that they had Intel as sponsors help'd them recently, but still as i heard it's not clean :D.

#30 the lan season is great and make cod4 an awesome game among others, but the lan season finals, where 8 best teams were invited (they had to pay their license and did not have to pay entrees fee) only 3 came, it was a disater. So the question at the end of the season was if they keep cod4 among the main games in our federation. Pretty sad when we see maxlan and Gamers-assembly gathered nearly 32 teams :/
Gl, culé! :D
They won MAXLAN aswell
Good luck guys hope the org is good for you
