The Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC), who since recently have restarted under new management, have announced
the release of their full website, including a post about the distribution of the $ 213,500 prize purse. Peugeot, already annouced as sponsor a while back, is now also part of their sponsors list which also includes some other suprising names such as French radio station Virgin Radio, Music TV station MCM, online payment service & consultancy firm All-Pass and the popular video website Dailymotion. What these partnerships contain remains to be seen and there is still a lot of scepticism revolving around the new ESWC owners and their authenticity as global event managers.
The new ESWC website also contains a list of the prize purse breakdown. Sadly no Call of Duty 4 has made the list, although this was quite expected. Quake Live however did earn a spot and will have a $14,000 prize purse set aside. The biggest competition once more is Counter-Strike 1.6 with a whopping $63,000.

1.6: 36/5 and some for manager/team whatever, max 7k per player
wc3, ql, trackmaniarofl., fifa: all 8k :D
36.000 x 0,8 = 28800
28.800 / 5 = 5760 p.p. So the player ends up with less in the end.
I'd rather see the money of SHIFT... and virtuatennis go to CoD4
would be more likely to see mw2
