After ceasing all operations back in April 2009, the
Electronic Sports World Cup has been reborn and will make its return in July 2010. With the France-based company Games-Services, the organisation behind ESWC, filing for bankruptcy several months ago, the DIP-Organisation bought the ESWC brand and trademark back in August 2009 and today officially announced their plans of hosting the ESWC 2010 at the world famous entertainment park Disneyland Paris in France from June 30 to July 4, 2010.
The event, which will have a total prize pot of $200,000, will take place in the Disney Village and features eight different games: Counterstrike 1.6, Counterstrike 1.6 Female, Warcraft III: TFT, Trackmania ESWC, Virtual Tennis, Need For Speed: Shift, Street Fighter 4 and FIFA 2010.
In a official press release, the DIP-Organisation has stated they bought the ESWC brand and trademark, not the Games-Services organisation, and are therefore not in charge of any obligation to pay 2008 cash prize or any debt. The organisation has however stated that "in order to prevent more harm and damage to the ESWC image and to maintain coherent the ESWC project and spirit, [they are] studying the possibilities to found a way to compensate the last ESWC champions."
An interview with a member of the management behind the new ESWC will be up shortly.

Quake has ALWAYS been featured, i wonder why they would remove it.
Heaven Media was always there to support CoD4 and whilst counterstrike has already got the support and establishment it needs, CoD4 now needs to be recongised as a competitive eSports game which the 08 and 09 summer lans showed.
An excellent presentation showing the gains which CoD4 has given and reasons to DIP-Organisation, why MW2 isn't a competitively worthy game at this time, could help PUSH the process.
GOGOGOGOGOgogoGoGOOgOgOGOGo cod4
Do keep that sentence in your mind. Let's all cross our fingers for CoD4 and QL.
But I kinda fear that they won't do it since it's a completely new crew running it, so they will concentrate on what they consider to be the core and expand the following years.
You gotta crawl before you can walk :)
so, win.
cmon cod4!
Bloodyhell
interesting comment there from djWHEAT..
and another note if you take a look at their website you will notice it's really freaking ugly and bad designed for people that are supposed to work as a communication studio (website, web design, visual artist and so)......
