Rumours linking the reborn ESWC with a return to the Quake series refuse to go away as new reports emerge of leaked images (seen right) from a sponsor presentation listing "Quake" under the PC games supported. The validity of the information is believed to have been confirmed by the Milk Cybercafes who run the French ESWC qualifiers.
The leak comes just days after DIP, the ESWC's parent company, announced Peugeot as the tournament's official partner for 2010 and less than a week ahead of the scheduled release of their new website. The new site is expected to confirm the addition of Quake as well as Guitar Hero for console alongside the tournament's eight existing disciplines.
The ESWC has a rich history in the Quake series, with former champions including Anton "Cooller" Singov, Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski and Michael "winz" Bignet. Previous tournaments have featured both Quake 3 and 4 but, although Milk were unable to confirm the title chosen, it is expected that the 2010 event will make the switch to QuakeLive.
