Esports Heaven's First Two Years

In July 2009, we launched Esports Heaven, and at the time we weren’t quite sure of how it would fit around our other sites or where it would lead us.

I think in the two years since then we have learned exactly what it is, what we had hoped it would become since before we even started working on it six months before it launched - it's a platform that enables companies to give back to the esports community that supports them.

I won't go into too many statistics, but there are a few specifics I'd like to share as our way of celebrating Esports Heaven's success so far. In terms of activity, we have seen more than 15,000 matches played in our tournaments, with almost 30,000 individual gamers taking part.

But what would Esports Heaven be without our awesome partners? In the first 24 months, 26 companies were kind enough to sponsor a total of almost 70 tournaments.

Across these events, we have given out hardware worth, in total, more than £10,000, and cash prizes totaling over £25,000. (Big thanks to ROCCAT for helping us round that hardware number up to £10,000 in time for this announcement!)

Finally I'd like to point out what a great job Steven and his team do of managing the site and making sure the tournaments run like clockwork, and to thank them for it.
